Direct Square-to-Square(DSS) Pipe Mill
DSS technique directly reel the strip steel into desired sized tube
with several distinct advantages. It adapts the multi-point bending
method, which avoids the axial force and side abrasion, reduces the
forming step, and ensures high quality. Compare to
Round-to-Square(RS) forming technique, DSS creates better outer
edge and smaller inner arc for the cross section of the tube, and
the brim is flatter with more regular outlook. With our new DSS-3
technique, only one set of rollers is needed for the entire mill
with no need for any roller or spacer replacement, which achieves
full-automatic adjustment for roller positions, significantly
increasing production efficiency and reducing labor cost and risk
of hazard.
Process flow:
Uncoiling → leveling → accumulator → rolling forming →
high-frequency welding → external burr scraping → cooling → sizing
→ straightening → flying saw cutting → blanking
Usage of Products:
The hot rolled steel strip is used as tube billet for conveying
pressure fluid. The steel pipe has strong bearing capacity and good
welding performance. It is safe and reliable to use after all kinds
of strict scientific inspection and testing. Large diameter steel
pipe, high transmission efficiency, and can save the investment of
pipeline laying. Mainly used for conveying oil and natural gas
pipelines.

Q: How do you do QA?
A: We have a special team to do strict QA, this is one of our

(1)Every gearbox will be tested for 8 hours with oil inside to
guarantee there is no leak.
(2)Every shaft will be inspected for centering jumpiness.
(3)Every roller will be checked to make sure it's in the range of
tolerance critical parts will be inspected for all dimensions.
